Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They agreed to make an exception and accept a return
Turns out the Q won't work with the smaller cup (senses a chip in there even though it fits mechanically). Reached out to Breville same day - they didn't respond to my online support case after 3 business days. Called them ... said to do a callback (after a few hours!).
They called back and said they don't do returns on accessories. I said it's unused, it doesn't work, and I called same day. Not willing to budge.
And that for a $67 plastic cup plus shipping. Crazy.ay St

Breville Expresso Pro machine
Hi there. I was wondering if you could help me out.
I got a Breville Barista Pro expresso machine for christmas a couple months ago from a friend as a gift. But i havent used her all that much and i noticed the machine gets really hot and my power button had a crack already. And where i put my porto filter in the plastic is also showing wear and tear to the point where it doesnt want to turn and the difficult part is i cant return her cause my friend passed away so i have no proof of purchase .
I am really dissapointed and am scared to use her anymore because since she gets so hot it will cause a fire in my house. Am not sure if it was a lemon from the company or if it is a refurbished machine

I purchased the Breville the Bit More toaster in October 2020 and I am very disappointed that the toasting element sparked, flashed, and quit toasting one side of the bread. It is not because I have the bagel button pushed.
No wonder you only have a one year limited warranty. I have not left a review on Amazon yet, but I intend to. I feel your product should last longer than a Bit More than three years. I enjoyed the toaster.
I took good care of it and it was on the counter far away from water and it worked very well until just a day ago.
Is there any action you wish to take to resolve my issue?
Not a very legible because its all the same color and no serial number is on this item but I found another number which may be a batch number E127216. Product model number is visible BTA720XL.

Horrible company. They sent me a defective oven and asked for pictures.
I sent pictures and the phone agent said they shipped a replacement. I then called after 7 days only for them to tell me no replacement was sent, and the defective item must first be delivered to them and after it delivers to them it takes another 10 days for them to ship a replacement. Then I agreed to put hold on my funds for faster shipping and my replacement still didn't ship after a week even though they said it would. They send defective items, don't apologize, lie about shipping and do nothing to resolve their mistakes.
You cannot reach them by phone or email. They never respond to emails. You have to wait 24 hours for a call back as they do not answer phones.
They treat your 30-day defective/damaged returns as warranty. I returned the defective item and will dispute with my bank if I don't get my refund.

Really like the barista pro
Ive had our barista pro for 2 1/2 years I think, and have used it every day to make 2 to 4 cups of espresso. Ive made my own espresso for like 40 years weird.
Had a number of different machines from automatics to you do everything. This has been my favorite machine so far. You can adjust just about every function of the espresso maker so that you can dial in a really good shot of espresso. it takes some doing but there are tutorials on the companies website but also a bunch YouTube videos describing the same process.
It has begun to malfunction, so I contacted customer support.
I chose the call you back when its your turn option and about 30 minutes later Received a call. The assistance I got was quite helpful. The tech was patient with my trying to figure out how to follow their steps. I had to descale the machine again, which takes long enough that the tech was going to call me back after.
They called about 90 minutes later as requested I didnt answer because the machine started to work and I was occupied with something different. They called again the next morning, which I also didnt answer , based on having other stuff going on.
Later that day, they followed up with an email to be sure that my problem has been taken care of. A+ from my perspective.

Wow, so my sister hosted for Thanksgiving and has one of Breville's expresso barista setups. My wife absolutely loved it so here I thought, wonderful a Christmas idea not at the last minute!
Dang do I wish I checked their customer service reviews first before purchasing two of them.
For the prices they sell these things at, you'd think their customer service would be better, but they stink. Their hours are different than advertised on their website the on their phone lines, their chat is permanently offline, they never answer any cases regardless of how much contact info you put in the message, and after three days I got a call back from apparently the wrong dept who then blamed me for making the wrong selection even though THEY called me without making a selection (thanks 'Rozzzzza') before placing me on hold to transfer me...47mins later, still on hold...
these people suck. I'm calling my CC company to stop the charges and report this company.
Update: their automated system hung up on me at 1608cst when apparently their phone lines turn off...how does this company have such a great name with such *** service!?

Wasn't relative to the review, chief. I purposely bought two.
I plan on returning both if my CC company can't cancel before they ship. The point of the review was highlighting their sh#% customer service as others have. You can't get ahold of anyone, for anything, let alone attempting to return something or get a return label. It's a big red flag when a large company has that many issues with contact.
I can only imagine what the others were feeling when trying to get ahold of them for warranty or parts replacement.
I should have checked before purchasing, bad on me, but hopefully more posts highlighting these repeat issues will caution others before making a large purchase. Your response seems like you either work for them, childishly troll, or both.
Actually it’s neither. I’m not the one that claimed a $1700 loss. That made it sound like you were stuck with a product they weren’t allowing a return/refund on.
